Heather Jephcott writes

Creating Harm

When science goes astray
outside the boundaries of morally good
where there is no conscience
and many are just obeying,
doing their job.

When science is seeking monetary gain
not what is good
for one and all
but
controlled by forces of profit
it spreads, surreptitiously,
injecting false hope,
allowing us to consume,
spraying on us all,
what kills, maims,
helping to bring life to an end.

When science cares not for the harm that it does,
widespread or small,
not viewing its course,
or a correct pathway,
it is adrift on an ocean
filled with rubbish,
polluted at its core.

When science becomes lost in itself
creating harm,
forgetting the reason
to do good
with selfish intentions
underpinning, controlling
with little assessment
and ever so deaf
to all doomsayers.

When science guesses, way off the mark
and no one is left,
even to clean up
it is plain just wrong
in so many ways
having no heart,
with no idea
of good or bad.

When science abuses its call
damaging so much in its pathway
causing disadvantage
no longer serving
but rather disserving
allowing mischief,
pain, injury.

When science creates evil
or misuses resources
lethal science
spoiling, poisoning
ruining

When science is unhealthy
associating with substance abuse
unwholesome foods
our minds
our will power
become weakened
and we are no longer able
to judge for the best.

When science designs, producing anything toxic
the poisoning just never ends,
unhealthy, unpleasant
unfavourable to life
and all who condemn
are maligned.

When science is pure fiction,
built on false assumptions
its starting points quite wrong
thinking it knows, convincing others
that it is so
when truly,
it is only guessing,
and if
it's pointing the wrong way,
everyone suffers.

When science has gone crazy
calling black, "white",
blended with disinterest
or self interest
we are up against
those who destroy the earth.

  1. And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
