SchiZ (Lee-Ann Azzopardi)

The Questions

Outside the window, it's snowing lightly
You watch it for an eternity
As yr coffee has gone cold and salty
From the weeping you have done
It has been five months since he left
He is not coming back
And it's taxing to be educated
And to think the impossible would come
For logic doesn't let go
But you really want to hear his laugh
And you try to remember how it went
Though you know you have lost it
You continue to burn yr memory
However, nothing comes
And yr head aches from the pressure
As the tears stains yr eyeglasses
And you will never ask a question
Like  why did God take him?
Or will I see him in heaven?
Will I go to heaven?
These are the questions that keep you up at night
While the snow continues to fall

  1. That's a great line: "As yr coffee has gone cold and salty/
From the weeping you have done". Snow melts, tears dissolve, but so will the pain.
