The love of a mother 

a true mother

who desires to be all that she can be 

for her child, her offspring

and then mothering those who come close 

to feel her gentle, gracious ways.

The friendliness of a mother 

who sits down and listens

who has time and more time 

to be with

to care 

to help

to answer questions 

and smile specifically

all the way through to our hearts.

The joy of a mother 

who sees her children, grandchildren,

any she has mothered, grandmothered 

being who they were made to be,

continuing to give out 

from the wealth that she sees in them
