Deeya Bhattacharya writes

Metamorphosis

Scraping identities
by  moonlight and dew
we hide our dainty
and fuchsia egos
scoop out creamy emotions
in little dishes and
our spinal chills
leave us in deep darkness

dungeons of desires
overcome us
placid eyes brimming
to the core
we exchange peek-a-boos
the child surfaces in you
and I take a deep plunge
in those triangular moulds
that glorified us, once

now no more, the scraps I gather
to make a dissipating collage
of metamorphosis
that left us abrupt.
