Heather Jephcott writes

A Collection of Calls

The call ~
of the wild wind rain
wet cooling splashing
dampening smoky air

The call ~
of words repetitive garbled
droning moaning on through nights
no release tired eyes, thoughts, bodies

The call ~
of continual revelation coming
to open hearts receiving love goodness light
blessings gentleness falling enclosing in hands held out

The call ~
of love to go out among the muck dirt poor
taking carrying heart warming glad tidings
passing on light kindness relief

The call ~
of life to stay put stop one spot
don't move away from times of action
quiet calm green growth sunny difficulties smiles

  1. This is a stream-of-consciousness word-association poem. Don't try to make too much sense of it, as though it were a linear prose description, but let the incantation permeate your soul and the meaning will be clear and satisfying.
